- Delhi Metro commuters can now travel on all corridors of the system, including the Gurugram Rapid Metro, using WhatsApp-based ticketing service.
- The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) will develop the caravan park and camp shelter at Bekal, which has also been selected by the Tourism Department to be developed under cinema tourism, a project that seeks to showcase prime locations in the State featured in hit films, to attract tourists.

- The Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry on Thursday notified amendments in the Cable Television Networks Rules, thereby providing an operational mechanism for the implementation of decriminalised provisions of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act.
The amendments are expected to encourage compliance with the Act without the government resorting to harsh punishment.

- Bangladesh received the first uranium delivery on Thursday for its Russian-backed nuclear plant, a project aimed at bolstering its overstretched energy grid but complicated by sanction on Moscow.
Construction on the nuclear plant at Rooppur, a village on the banks of the Ganges rivern175 Km west of the capital Dhaka, began in 2017. The first of its twin 1,200-megawatt units is slated to begin operations next year and both reactors should be fully online in 2025.
- Norway’s Jon Fosse, 64, whose plays are among the most widely staged of any contemporary playwright in the world, won the Nobel Prize in literature on Thursday.
His latest work, Septology, runs to 1,250 pages without a single full stop.
