- The President of China will not attend Delhi G-20 Summit – China’s foreign ministry announced.
- The Centre has proposed forming a 13-member technical committee to evaluate the “carrying capacity” of 13 Himalayan States.
- Maharashtra government has constituted a panel that will submit within a month its report telling how Marathas from the Marathwada region can be included in the OBC category and given the Kunbi caste certificate.
- The Annual Training EXERCISE, “TRISHUL” of the Western Air Command (WAC) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) scheduled from 04 to 14 September. The Exercise will see activation of all air assets and force multipliers spread across the Line of Control (LOC) with Pakistan to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
- Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt released the Maritime Infrastructure Perspective Plan (MIPP)-2023-2037, the Indian Register for Shipping (IRS) rules and regulations handbook, family logbook and electronic service document project at the second edition of the biennial Naval Commanders Conference on Monday.

- RBI Governor on Monday said that high cost, low speed, limited access and insufficient transparency remained key challenges to existing cross-border payments, and that adoption of the Central Bank Currencies (CBDCs) can make such payments efficient.
- Federal Bank has introduced a ‘WhatsApp Lending Platform’ through which customers can apply for pre-approved personal loan.
- Muthoot FinCorp on Monday announced raising up to Rs 400 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs).
- State Bank of India allows CBDC users to link UPI. SBI had implemented Unified Payments Interface (UPI) interoperability in the Digital Rupee or Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
